# Fees and limits

> Every fee, limit, and timing that applies to vendors.

These values are current settings and can change. The product always shows the exact figure when
it applies, where you create or edit a listing and on the withdrawal quote. The rules that apply to every sale
are on [How DataVendor works](/overview/how-it-works#the-rules-every-sale-follows).

## Fees

| Fee | Amount | When it applies |
| - | - | - |
| **Platform fee** | 20% of earnings | Only at withdrawal, and never on referral fees. Converting earnings to credits is 1:1, fee-free, and irreversible. |
| **Stripe transfer fee** | Stripe's estimated cross-border transfer cost for your payout country | Itemized on every withdrawal quote. |
| **Dispute pass-through** | \$15 | A lost card dispute reverses the sale from your wallet plus this fee. |
| **Recommended environment checks** | Credit-priced per check | The quote shows the exact cost before a run. Mandatory checks are always free. |

## Limits

| Limit | Value |
| - | - |
| **Listing title** | 60 characters |
| **Listing one-liner** | 100 characters |
| **Listing description** | 8,192 characters of plain English text. Accented letters, non-Latin scripts, and emoji count as several characters each. |
| **ZIP uploads** | `.zip` only, 50 GB per file |
| **Codebase archives** | The repository inside is capped at 20 GB |
| **Codebase estimator** | Up to 100 repositories per request; each becomes its own estimation |
| **Bulk codebase registration** | Up to 500 codebases per API batch |
| **Withdrawals** | \$1,000 minimum before fees; one open withdrawal per team at a time |
| **Browse gate** | Search, filters, sorting, and pages past the first unlock once your team has 2 live published listings; the browse page shows your progress. |

## Timing

| Event | Timing |
| - | - |
| **Earnings settlement** | 14 days after payment before earnings become available |
| **Withdrawal review** | Typically within 3 business days; after release, Stripe's payout schedule delivers the money to your bank |
