# Vendor tiers

> What each vendor tier unlocks, and how to reach Tier 2.

Vendor **tiers** decide which workflows your organization can use. Your tier shows in the sidebar
header and under **Settings → Tiering**.

| Tier | Granted by | Unlocks |
| - | - | - |
| **Tier 1** | Finishing vendor organization setup | Listings. Accept the Mutual NDA to open the workspace. |
| **Tier 2** | Signing the Platform Access Agreement | [Opportunities](/sell/opportunities): buyer requests you can submit listings to. |
| **Tier 3** | Invitation from DataVendor | Opportunities that require Tier 3. |

## Upgrade to Tier 2

    Open **Settings → Tiering** and choose **Request upgrade**. **Request tier 2** on the
    **Wanted** side of **Browse marketplace** opens the same flow.

  <Step title="Sign the Platform Access Agreement">
    The upgrade is a signature: signing the [PAA](/overview/glossary#paa) (via PandaDoc) grants
    Tier 2 immediately. There is no review queue. If your organization has no legal entity name
    yet, the signing step asks for it.

  Tier 3 cannot be requested. DataVendor grants it by invitation.
