# What you can sell

> The supply buyers pay for, what to prepare with it, and how DataVendor values it.

Buyers on DataVendor license supply that is hard to recreate and useful for training or evaluating
AI systems. The strongest fit is non-public, well documented, and clearly yours to license.

## Kinds of supply

| Kind | What it is |
| - | - |
| **Codebases** | Private repositories with their history: product code, internal tools, and the context around them. |
| **Raw data** | The underlying material, delivered as a ZIP: documents, logs, examples, enterprise records such as emails or org charts. |
| **Tasksets** | Structured sets of [tasks](/overview/glossary#task) a person or a model can attempt, built on the HUD platform. |
| **RL environments** | Interactive setups where an agent takes actions and gets scored. An [environment](/overview/glossary#environment) is sold with the HUD taskset that runs on it; it cannot be listed on its own. |

An eval, a way to measure whether a model performs well, usually ships as a taskset plus its
environment. If you are not sure which kind you have, describe it plainly in your listing or
[book a call](https://cal.com/team/hud/talk-to-us-data-vendor-platform) and DataVendor can help
classify it.

## What buyers want now

Demand changes with model-training runs, but DataVendor currently sees strong demand for
enterprise software codebases and for cybersecurity, legal, and finance data. Production-grade
codebases, tasksets, evals, RL environments, and enterprise operational data sell best when they
cannot be found in public.

## Prepare a codebase

Send the code plus the context someone needs to understand why it matters:

* a README, setup instructions, and architecture or product notes
* issue or ticket history (Linear, Jira, and so on) and pull-request context
* test information and any docs that explain what the code does

Remove secrets, credentials, customer information, and anything you do not have the right to
share. Connect or upload only what you are allowed to license.

## How value is judged

DataVendor weighs whether your rights are clear, how strong demand is, how well documented the
asset is, how hard it would be to recreate, and how directly it fits a buyer's need. Exact figures
move with the market. Well-documented, production-grade codebases have licensed for up to
$20,000 each. Opportunities are usually priced per task, at around $500 to \$1,500 a task, with
hundreds to thousands of tasks per request.

For a codebase, [Estimate your codebase](/sell/estimate-your-codebase) gives an advisory, dated
value before you list anything.
